The Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) is the world\u2019s leading resource for physiotherapy evidence. For more than two decades, PEDro has provided clinicians, researchers and students with rapid access to high-quality, curated research to support evidence-based practice.<\/p>\n

We are now seeking PEDro Representatives, individuals or groups who will champion PEDro in their own country, region, subdiscipline, or organisation.<\/p>\n

This is a unique opportunity to play a leadership role in sustaining the future of PEDro and accessible physiotherapy evidence.<\/p>\n

Purpose of the role<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

PEDro Representatives act as advocates for PEDro, raising awareness, supporting financial sustainability, and strengthening connections with physiotherapy communities worldwide. A core responsibility is to help secure PEDro\u2019s long-term future by engaging with national physiotherapy associations and other potential funders.<\/p>\n

Key responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The key responsibilities of PEDro Representatives it to promote PEDro at professional events, meetings, and conferences; advocate with potential funding bodies, including physiotherapy organisations, for financial or in-kind partnerships; and submit at least three short activity reports each year.<\/p>\n

Commitment<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

One-year term, renewable on approval.
\nAfter two years, representatives assist with succession planning.<\/p>\n

Who should apply?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We are looking for respected physiotherapy leaders (e.g. senior academics, clinicians, professional leaders, or network convenors) who have excellent communication skills, advocacy experience, and strong professional networks.<\/p>\n

Submit a brief proposal<\/a> including the scope of your intended representation (country, region, subdiscipline, or group); evidence of your professional profile, leadership, or networks; your approach to promoting PEDro and spreading awareness; and specific plans for approaching national physiotherapy associations, other organisations or potential funders to support PEDro\u2019s sustainability.<\/p>\n
