Between Monday 7 October and Friday 15 November 2024 join thousands of colleagues from around the world in becoming a master AI user for clinical practice, education and research.

This year’s FREE Physiopedia massive open online course (MOOC) is focussing on the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence (AI). This 6-week programme starting on 7 October will prepare you for the profound changes that AI is bringing to education, research, clinical practice and health systems.

In this AI Masterclass for Healthcare Professionals you will work through four courses and join two live webinars exploring the potential of AI across all aspects of healthcare. The first course introduces frontier AI models and their capabilities. The following courses discuss the potential of AI to enhance learning, support research practices, or even conduct research, and assist in diagnosis and clinical performance. Two additional webinars explore how you can use AI in your daily life and the broader implications of AI in health systems.

The MOOC will be lead by Dr Michael Rowe, Associate Professor in the School of Health and Social Care at the University of Lincoln in the United Kingdom. Dr Rowe’s research focuses on the use of digital technologies in the classroom and their influence on teacher and student relationships. With a special interest in the increasing potential of AI in higher and professional education he is excited to support rehabilitation professionals – whether clinicians, researchers, educators or healthcare administrators – in understanding the myriad possibilities of AI and providing the knowledge to integrate AI into their professional and personal life.

To join this MOOC you need to complete the registration form and look out for an email from us one week before the start of the course. The first course will be released on 7 October on the Physiopedia Plus (Plus) platform and we will send you instructions for getting set up on Plus for free. There are no deadlines and you can complete it online on your own schedule, and claim your certificate of completion once you’ve finished all required elements.
