Everything is BIGGER in Texas, including an appreciation for Physiopedia!

Two of our Physiopedia team members were able to attend the annual Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA) Conference in October, and what a trip it turned out to be! It was a privilege to meet and chat to so many of our community at this vibrant meeting.

Attending a professional conference is a unique opportunity to learn new ideas and have practice-changing conversations with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and practice settings. But when Physiopedia team members Tarina van der Stockt and Stacy Shiurring attended the annual Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA) Conference in Round Rock, Texas, one thing they were not expecting to learn was how often Physiopedia came up in those conversations! It was an awe-inspiring experience to hear from our community of physical therapists and students about how they use and love Physiopedia.

Physiopedia has more than 100,000 visitors from Texas per month and we were thrilled to meet some of you – thank you to everyone who took the time to chat with us. Students and clinicians shared how thankful they are to have Physiopedia as a trusted and reliable resource to help them daily, to learn and treat patients. University faculty gave examples of how they share specific pages with their students or use Physiopedia to check the reliability and validity of clinical tests quickly.

In one of the conference sessions, different patient case studies were discussed, and we were delighted to see a case study published on Physiopedia as one of the in-depth discussions. The presenter also listed Physiopedia as a useful resource…and we couldn’t agree more!

It was a privilege to share our Physiopedia mission to be a free rehabilitation knowledge resource for everyone worldwide, made possible by the support of Physiopedia Plus (Plus), our online continuing education platform. Physiopedia Plus is a Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners Accredited Provider with more than 580 courses approved in Texas for PTs and PTAs.
